Resource Pack Validator

Upload a Java or Bedrock resource pack archive to audit its folder hierarchy, manifest file, icon dimensions, and texture naming rules.

Auto-detects Java (pack.mcmeta + assets/) vs Bedrock (manifest.json + textures/) structures.

Checks root manifest placement, icon files, and lowercase asset paths.

How to Use Resource Pack Validator

  1. 01.Upload your .zip or .mcpack resource pack archive.
  2. 02.Review the automated audit covering root manifest placement, uppercase filename warnings, and icon presence.
  3. 03.Follow the suggested fixes if your pack does not show up in Minecraft.

How It Works

Scans ZIP entries via JSZip to detect nested folder mistakes (e.g. pack.mcmeta inside a subfolder), uppercase characters in Java 1.11+ asset paths, and malformed JSON.

Common Questions about Resource Pack Validator

Why does my resource pack not appear in the Minecraft menu?

The most common cause is zipping the outer folder instead of zipping pack.mcmeta and the assets/ folder directly at the archive root.
