Minecraft Skin Checker
Validate Minecraft skin PNG dimensions, binary file signatures, base-layer opacity rules, and auto-detect Slim vs Classic arm layouts.
Checks compliance for both Java Edition (64×64 / 64×32) and Bedrock Edition (including 128×128 HD).
How to Use Minecraft Skin Checker
- 01.Drop or upload a skin file to inspect.
- 02.Review the diagnostic report covering PNG header signature, pixel dimensions, arm model detection, and base-layer transparency.
- 03.Check if any base body pixels are accidentally transparent (which Minecraft renders as black or rejects).
How It Works
Reads the binary PNG magic bytes (89 50 4E 47) and scans RGBA pixel regions across the UV map to detect missing opaque pixels or slim arm transparency markers at (54, 20).
Supported Formats & Outputs
- • PNG (64×64, 64×32, 128×128)
Common Questions about Minecraft Skin Checker
Why does Minecraft reject some 128×128 skins?
128×128 HD skins are supported in Bedrock Edition, whereas vanilla Java Edition strictly requires 64×64 (or legacy 64×32) skins.
